    Abstract

Existing convectional modes of floating house are powered by diesel generator, this put emission comingfrom consumption and emission of non renewable resources like diesel into the environment. We have conceived an idea of self sustaining houses which will float on water and is completely run by renewable energy sources. Although it is difficult to live against the water, it is possible to live with the rising or still water level. A floating house of dimension 6m x 3m x 3m is designed for a lake. The system incorporates the solar panels, floating house and a battery. Staad.pro v8i software is used for the analysis of structural members in the floating compartment and revit software by Autodesk is used for graphical 3D modelling of the floating house. Stability analysis of the structure is also carried out for the safety of the structure.
